I Need To Get Better At This...

Damn, 10 days. It took me 10 days to get on here and make time for the blog. I will get better at this.

Last week was Thanksgiving and it didn't feel like it. Whenever Johnathon, my husband, is deployed the holidays are really just not the same. I'm hoping since we have family coming for Christmas, it will feel a bit more festive.

Goals I accomplished the past 10 days:

* I am continuing to lose weight. As this point I am down 20.5lbs in the last 3 months. My first weight loss goal was at the 25lb mark. At that point, I get the reward of a glass of my favorite Moscato (something I gave up when I decided to work on "me").

* I made it through mid terms week, passing both of my midterm exams and finishing a 7 page paper on Human Sexuality and the Media. Having midterms and finals fall the same weeks as a holiday is no fun at all!

* I worked out three times in the past 10 days. Is that good? Yes. Is it great? No. My ultimate goal is to make the effort to work out every other day. Finding time to fit it in is key.

Hmm... When I started writing I thought I would have more checked off my list.

This weekend kicks off with meeting up with some Moms of Twins that are a part of a group of FABULOUS Moms that all had multiples due in October of 2012. We have all grown so close via the internet and I have the opportunity to go have lunch with a group of them tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned for that fun update.

I have come to find that goals are a wonderful tool to use to help you accomplish what needs to be done as well as a great way to pass the awful deployment days! Goals for this week?

* Put away all the damn clean laundry that has piled up!

* Write my 10 page Parenting paper that is due in the next two weeks.

* Continue taking my Plexus Slim, BioCleanse and ProBio5 (more details to come on that, but lets just say remembering to regularly take anything is a task in itself).

* Work out at least every three days if not every other day.

So... with Christmas fast approaching and fitting extra activities into your schedule, how do you make time for what needs to be done?
